Alaska Day 70 - Fairbanks

Up around 7 AM enjoying the beautiful weather and coolness.  The temperature was 56 degrees this morning and is supposed to get up to 86 today. Today we spent shopping at the commissary and then downtown to look around to see if there were any major changes since we were here in 2011.  Some businesses were no longer in business and then there were new ones to their place.  Overall there were no major changes... We recognized Fairbanks!  As we traveled around reminiscing of our past trip to Fairbanks, we were eagerly anticipating our dinner plans we had planned at Pioneer Park. We were going to another all you can eat salmon bake and our friend Danny would be joining us. Salmon, prime rib, and fried cod were the main courses with all the fixings. Well rule number 2 or 3 were definitely not followed tonight.  We believe this is our favorite salmon bake...

The entrance...

This is a long entrance... We sure hope there's an end... Actually it was set up like one of the gold mines in the days of the gold rush.

Plenty of room for us...  They have both outside and inside eating, for some reason most of the crowd was inside.  There happened to be three tour buses of people dinning tonight.

Plate number one... how many can you have?  As many as you want; however, don't forget to save room for desert.

We are ready to dive in...

Danny looks ready.

After a fantastic meal we watched a beautiful sunset.
