Wednesday and it's already day 50.... Time for Russell and Caroline to turn in their RV rental so it's off to Anchorage we go... However, before we go we must spend one more hour on the Kenai in Soldotna and then on to Anchorage... But a phone call from Al who is sitting on the Russian River catching Sockeyes altered our plans a little more. Only a little, everyone wanted to spend a night on the Russian River anyway. No vacancy at the campgrounds... overflow area (parking lot) yes, so a night on the Russian River is becoming a reality... Russell and John working for a penny trying to get a fish on the line while Caroline and Linda were taking pictures and left us behind... Sorry, sorry, but I can't listen to music and write... To cut the story short... we stayed in the overflow parking at the Russian River and caught several nice Sockeye.
Farewells on the Kenai... Reginald and Rodney are leaving tomorrow to head home.
On the Russian River heading to the secret hole
Midnight fishing on the Russian/Kenai rivers. This is a very popular area where the Russian River flows into the Kenai River. These fish are the same fish that came up the Kenai through Soldotna several days ago.
Sunrise from the overflow parking lot...
