Alaska Day 33 - 38 Week 3 at Camp Baldwin

Monday and week 3 begins... 5th and 6th graders attend this week.  All the Camp Missionaries and Mission Force are present and waiting for the campers to arrive.  Two o'clock and the fun begin; campers begin arriving by van or with their parents. Linda makes sure registration is ready and checks all her medication records.  Registration is always fun; there is always a lot of help including parents.  It actually goes smoothly for the most part. This week we have five cabins which is the first time this year we have needed five cabins...  Praise the Lord we were able to complete the new wall in the old chapel building to make another cabin...

All kinds of help on registration day... In the center is Dave Becker, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Delta Junction.  The FBC supports Camp Baldwin and we could count on seeing Dave several times a week to provide assistance as needed.

Another cake making day

Two Mission Force  members show the cakes

Every night Mark has a special devotion time around the fire.

Neal and I completing the slide for the campers... Neal came up from Manteo, NC to work at camp during the time Lynne was in Maryland.  For one, I'm glad Neal came.  He is a great Christian guy and is a lot of fun to be around.

The campers as well as the camp missionaries enjoyed all water activities
Cold dirty water... Let me in?  Water temperature was in the mid forties.

Backwards...

On Thursday night each cabin has to put on a skit for the rest of the camp.  The Camp Missionaries work with their cabin all week putting their cabin's skit together.

These two took time out from skit practice to let us take their picture.
More skit practice

Let the skits begin

And the skits begin....  Might I add, they started around midnight.

Response from the crowd

Always a favorite... The winning cabin picks a Camp Missionary to go into the cage...

The first balloon is on the way
Bulls eye.   Maybe? Camp Missionary's eye!!!
