Our
second day was much better as far as the weather goes. Very little rain and lots of sun and less traffic. We left Greenville around 7:30
and stopped in Dry Ridge, KY for the night.
We are beginning to believe if we make 300 miles in a day we call it a good
day… However, at this rate it may be snowing by
the time we get to Alaska. At least we may get to see the Northern Lights. We had a good day of driving with some beautiful mountain scenery and some unbelievable horse ranches. We did see a large tanker truck on I-75 that the entire
cab had burned, no one hurt; however, it took an hour to go 5 miles. Paid $3.22/gal for gas in TN. In Dry Ridge, KY where we stayed regular
gas was $3.95. Another night in Walmart.
